Why such an anathema for Eye to eye- Taher Shah

Spectrum ,human eyes of Taher shah
Now a day’s musical scene is abuzz with the refreshing launch of Taher Shah’s magical, groovy song EYE TO EYE. It’s based on the same genre of broken English, catchy lyrics to get the attention of the world. However like always, people in Pakistan are ridiculing him, calling him names instead of appreciating the art of the brilliant guy. How can we be so mean and calcified to an innocent artist like him, I just fail to comprehend? Don’t u realize, if we will stop appreciating his art, he might get dejected enough to not to come up with any other creative
endeavor like this.

Apart from the well articulated lovely song, the music video is also shot creatively with a special focus on his spectrum- special eyes. The video shows a facsimile of him in white and black, both appreciating their eyes and doing EYE TO EYE. The theme is about how one can defeat the evil forces in black with kilassic human eyes. This will perhaps be the first step towards the modern day war with, no touching just eye to eye. Thereby, Pakistan army and government should not waste a single minute to challenge to the burly Taliban’s to do EYE TO EYE, if they have the guts?

I suppose, if the song would have been uploaded from some international forum. People of Pakistan would have been crazy after it. C’mon, what is so special in Gangnum style or Kolaveri di, that EYE to EYE lacks? Taher Shah, single handedly produced, directed, sang, penned the song. This should be enough to stop the fusillade of vituperation, even he looks zillion times dashing unlike dirty dhanush. I bet with his captivating eyes, gorgeous long hair and his eclectic sense of dressing, he has already won the hearts of million of girls, who are too shy to admit having a crush on him

Taher claims the song to be a romantic song of the century. I claim it the romantic song of the millennia due to its soul stirring appeal amongst the genuine music lovers. It will definitely motivate and incite the young and  budding artists to come up on the stage and showcase their talent to the entire world.

On a final note, I would like to salute SIR TAHER SHAH, for his valuable contribution in the romantic genre of pop music, ridding us of the boring, banal just nasal likes of sheesha rafi and hoe diccajee.

A treat for the music lovers - Eye to Eye  by Sir Taher Shah

Electronic Voting - For a better Pakistan

After the Pakistan elections 2013 there has been controversies surrounding it specially by PTI, hyped about having a clean sweep victory. Although our paper based voting procedure confirms with the rest of the world .Its better to take advantage of electronic voting. What is the benefit of having technical progression and living in a 21st century if we cant take any advantage it

We have to do this sometime or the other so why not start working towards it for the next elections. For example, In the advent of the 21st century, traditional readers didn’t pay any heed to the electronic editions of books and were opprobrious of the fact that they could ever take the position of papers books, time proved them wrong and within few years there was a sharp decline in sale of paper books due to it being expensive and inflexible. Encyclopedia Britannica in 2013 stopped publishing its paper editions due to huge loss and low public appeal. Thus the electronic touch transformed the way it used to do business.

Second, the big change in voting mechanism wont come without turmoil and unrest. Often people criticize it with the fact that urban population can get away with it but illiterate people cant use it with ease. All having their vested interest in the much controversial system but again a fair and democratic government as PML-N claims itself to be, should address this issue that must be highlighted by aggrieved party PTI. This will make sure that there claims are met the next time and for Pml-n to vindicate themselves of rigging

Third, electronic voting is necessary not only to provide a party is true mandate and for genuine voters who are left asking about their vote, a hassle free experience. But it will also make sure that transparency is present in the system, minimum human effort should cut the cost of useless poling agents and impersonators of ECP from any bribed party

If efficiently implemented not only will be quick and transparent but will also be cost effective and environment friendly being paper less. This should be one of the main agenda of PTI and all the parties to make sure that the faith of the Pakistani
People grow stronger in democracy.

Recommendation of the E- voting:

Ideally computers with big screens like ATM machine booth needs to be installed at the particular poling stations.  A separate room needs to be built at the front of the building where only people are provided an electronic slip to if they provide the CNIC and details together with their thumb impression. A poling agent needs to be present there for assistance and make sure this is covered by CCTV with city police, army, media etc

Then after taking out the electronic slip, a voter should enter the room where touch screen voting system is to be present that again will let the person cast vote after they enter the electronic number of the slip. This should then automatically send an email to the voter’s personal ID and ECP that a person holding CNIC xxx has voted for xxxx party or in case of non availability, number on the slip after voted has been cast must be noted by the voter. This will be effective in case of loss of data due to data crash etc.

However there could be serious opposition to this system due to electronic system being prone to hacking and getting jammed mid way. This also needs to be addressed prior to implementation. It is advised in the local body elections, a phase over approach has to be adopted to test the effectiveness of the system. So that it can be implemented smoothly for elections 2019 making sure that they don’t dent the pocket of Pakistan government next time with taller claims of free and fair elections

Torture of Bakra Eid Parties .

10 zilhaaj of Islamic calendar marks the day of Eid-ul –adha amongst the Muslim brothers and the much awaited meat fantasy of meat parties 3 times all 3 days comes true to the meat lovers aka Gosht-khor- islami –bhai bhen.( meat lover Islamic brother sisters)

The festival begins with the search of the sacrificial animals in this part of the world. Karachi is the biggest animal market of south asia, has huge variety of animals from donkey cow ( Gadha gai… with just ribs and the skeleton seen over a sheath of hide ) to Bhoot gai ( black cow with menace face) to Farishta gai ( Cute, innocent cow with white eye lashes) . The well fed cows are available to filthy rich people whose house wives with no house work can then brag to their Islamic sisters about the oblation they offered to deity.  A good animal is also chosen according to Islamic myth as on judgment day Muslims need to cross a fly-over ( pul-surat) and if they would go on a healthy animal they can go quick – A logical question thus comes to my mind why cant we sacrifice tiger – It will go very quick ????

Pious muslims without a doubt are meat lovers, impatiently wait for these days so they can eat meat ravenously, throw grandeur parties and lick the ass of their boss by sending a leg or two of the goat coated in aluminum foil. For this reason they hit the animal on the rear violently to check the meat on its ass if it’s perfect for barbecue but poor animal keeps thinking of being sexually assaulted by some mullah human.

But the most miserable person on this sacrificial festival is me due to my abhorrence with red meat specially the eid meat that can’t be looked at due to the strange and pungent smell associated with freshly cut poor animal. Often as a kid I used to get sick after watching red show with all the meat in the porch but as soon as I came to know the power of strike for your devoted cause. I protested vehemently without realizing it’s after affects of getting just salad and curd in the bakra eid dawats to eat. Why the hell people throw parties after bakra eid that contain just red meat and why doesn’t their heart melt with the fear of God of leaving certain people ( yeah its always just me )starved after inviting them at their home.

I guess these parties should be labeled as the * sacrificial meat utilization parties* instead of just the usual get together that at least have the courtesy to offer other things to eat and does not make me look like a tortured seventeenth century vampire women going all pale at the sight of red meat and lie to those who incessant that im on a special diet.

Devolving various excuses for the most health conscious types I cite my desire to remain on juices. For fighting for a noble cause types I vehemently articulate the plight this barbaric occasion of bakra eid does to poor animal inflicting on them excruciating pain that even before the eyes of little kids and common man thus triggering extremism in our society and making our heart turn to stone.  This off course does help me to use my much rusted grey cells as already the desire to eat has been vanished .The stench of fresh meat grows fetid in my mind with the scary screams of the dying animals.

All the year, damn it for a whole long year I focus and perfect my excuse to avoid these stupid –time waste *RMPs* ( red meat utilization parties) but  somehow gets emotionally black mailed and lands in  there. Facing the sneering looks of people, asking me while stuffing their mouths with meat as if they will never get to eat again or if they are going to get all their  protein today scheduled from their protein diet … Oyee U turned Hindu ???? And i smile a wry smile, say i'm eating but that I do cucumber...yummy isn’t it.  But in my hearts of heart I retort back to them.

Oyee u turned into starved Somali !

Jinn fever on Pakistani tv channels

Sahir Lodhi, is the butt of all jokes as soon as you see him on TV even the most wailing person instantly gets a smile on their face as they expect something highly dramatic from the wanna be too tight  about to be ripped off  waist coat Pakistani  SHAHRUKH KHAN.

The recent Jinn programme by him couldn’t stop me from smiling and laughing, although jinn’s being a controversial, scary subject. This show is just like the one’s mostly done on local channels IN THE PURSUIT of a jinn and how to get a jinn away from a person or how to grace the show with a presence of a jinn or to demonstrate publicly how can a bearded monkey cleric take out their frustration on poor people or to show the latest mystic jinn dance performed by rural Punjab jinn obsessed goat smelling dancers.

There is a panel of the starry eyed judges like American idol, though they are replaced by cleric and saints here, among them a woman who resembles the caretaker of marina khan in the drama, tum say kahna tha, she claims to bring out the jinni in you by making you stare hard in the mirror but never have I seen her doing that in any show, the act although reminds me of a cute afro baby evil eye video

Then there is the *Simon cowell * of that show, the red cap * NAQSHBANDI* who smears and make fun of the all the other judges of the panel. With his curled smile and ultra superiority complex over other lesser humans

And my favorite is  the * NOORI * judge the animated ,ridiculed and scoffed of .After so much of grudge faced on the show he has been limited to mere rosary clutching. Even the most ridiculed person in this planet called earth, sahir makes fun of him. Funny eh? And yes after all those programmes he revealed like a sky revelation that he is not a Jinni expert so shwwweeet .He might have had been fascinated by Veena darling, who confessed her being a victim of split personality disorder .

The psychiatrist seems like the only sane guy and him being no – nonsense doesn’t bring out the spice in the show amongst such a tough competition .He is hijacked most of the time and has succumb to a defensive approach of working in the sough after panel as no matter how hard he tries to prove the scientific facts to the spiritual clerics his logical comments are brushed off by them to the extent that *stamp closer cleric* labeled him rejecting existence of ALLAH ……  That was such a quick label! But why stamp closer uncle you didn’t call him a infidel, im angry with u L  qutti !!!! I wont speak with you.

And if this is not enough there is a writer by the name of Khalid Farshori, you just need to hit his name over Google and find all the stupidest scary stuff or if you are already stupid then just the scary stuff over it. He used to write in a Urdu daily and when I was pretty naïve( yes now I have become very intelligent like Einstein)  it used to get me nightmares when sleeping alone as all the characters used to come to life in dark, Then I saw his programme of Jamil Jinn  over Hero TV  which burst me into a fit of laughter after initial 5 minutes of scariness and  irritation by the tongue licking – beetle nut chewing- butcher turned joker who was the self proclaimed owner of the jinn. Well, he cited that he is doing public service as there was a lot of stray dogs in his locality and he sent the JJ ( not junaid jamshed , yoo singer turned mullah merchant )  after him and VIOLA all the dogs have left. Isn’t this a great display by sub- specie of monkey affection towards humans!!!!  And yes then JJ graced the show with his appearance as the anchor cited * HEY LOOK IGNORANT, DUMB VIEWERS  I HAVE GOT A SECRET DEAL WITH JJ TO APPEAR ON MY SHOW  AND THE GUY WHO JUST POP HIS HEAD INSIDE THE ROOM IS NONE OTHER THAN THE JJ *  after this I wanted to punch him like Batista  however as the utterly theatrical and hilarious performance by jj master  made me rolling with laughter I thought  about forget hitting the hairy beast aka Khalid farshori .

The supernatural always seem to attract us as most of the people like me are fascinated by what the unseen holds. In our part of the world where people are told these tales its embedded in their mindset from the beginning. If there is any problem they relate it to some miscreant jinn, think people jealous of them did black magic and so on and so forth. There no such awareness of the mental problems and often a person suffering from schizophrenia/ paranoia/ epilepsy and other problems is referred to a peer baba as he/she is told to be possessed by a demon. The baba/peer/ aamil business just thrives and they are not even in the entrepreneurial list on Forbes such a pity L

To me it is a self imposed * jahalat * where people blindly follow what has been fed to them instead of applying common logic. There mindset is then strengthened by a one off program where the host just portray the Stalingrad of all the problems in the world to be black magic. Bullshit why can’t they do black magic on Maulana fazul ullah -the bastard, haqqani network, the Taliban’s who are killing the innocent people. Why anybody doesn’t sends any jinni, churail, pichalpairi (a women jinni who has back front fêtes) to suicide bombers .Why doesn’t any demon attack those killers, rapist, murderers who go out into the night to do evil stuff

I guess all these programme needs to be banned, the advertisement of aamils by wall chalking should be fined and they need to be put in jails for looting innocent people. The weak faith and people believing this stuff will only go away with education that has to be done immediately. Especially awareness of the mental problems needs to be done. Although being an underdeveloped, highly corrupt, a rabid country this seems to be too utopian that these steps will be implemented as the tv air time will still be flooded with idiotic bhoot shows by more idiot anchors possessing zero IQ.

Drive to eliminate malnutrition in Pakistan by WFP, Ramazan Campaign

It’s so sad to know that being an agricultural country and even producing enough, 58% of the people of Pakistan are estimated to be food insecure and the actual  level may be higher than that. Agriculture as a segment of the Pakistan economy has availed special privilege in almost of the government’s tenure and they are exempt from paying taxes but all they do is make the innocent, poor people work on their fields with little wages like animals … being financially striped off despite working so hard leads to hunger and thus malnutrition in kids and women of the lower socio economic groups in the rural areas

WHO has been promoting the drive to end malnutrition amongst the Pakistani people namely the kids and the women those who can’t afford food and are thus malnutritioned. However through this platform I would like to cite that not only the under privileged kids but the privileged kids faced malnutrition as they don’t eat healthy food and although their body is developed it lacks the physical strength as they had been nurtured on the commercial/junk foods. So an overall awareness is needed to promote healthy eating habbits are to be encouraged in kids particularly.

Who doesn’t like little kids with beaming smiles on their faces in our society the round plum , active baby  not to mention the gora chiitta is the apple of the eye of  every gathering that puts smile on the most bitter karela person present but ever wondered from where does all the glow, energy , beam comes from .. No! we don’t give a damn if we see any thin, malnutrioned kid  often saying * KITNA SUKHA HAY * and most of the  experienced house wives in rearing kids  can be seen sharing their pearls of wisdom with  moms like Zubaida Appa !  But Who states that under the age of 5 , 15 %  have reached the critical threshold  , 44% are stunted  and  32 % are underweight .An alarming situation that needs immediate attention.

The mental incapabilities and the physical incapability due to malnutrition leads to many problems in life as they cant take part in the fun/ sports activities. It leads to bone deformity, iron deficiency and they lack the power to focus, reason like a healthy kid does .The stature of the kids can often be identified as being thin, boney, yellow eyes and pale skin

Then the lactating mothers due to being malnutritioned are unable to provide the nutritional value to the little baby via the natural feeding as a result the babies take time to grow and don’t develop thee antibodies to fight the viral  attacks at this infant age  that causes a threat to their existence in the long run

The most painful situation is where people die and fight due to hunger, where due to in access to nutritional food or pleasure of tongue inferiority complex is developed in the young minds, where the demarcation between privileged and under privileged is judged by a better looking mango... why  a basic necessity, why a food ?

It may seem funny at first sight a recent incident where in the PML (Q) jalsa people ate before the iftar time and a man was clearly seen shouting in the video that there is ample time left to break fast but no body paid any heed to him. What does this show? The fear of remaining hungry once again making them attacks the food forgetting the reason why they fasted whole day long …..

HOW TO OVERCOME THE VENOM OF MALNUTRITION:

  • There needs to be massive awareness in the society over malnutrition in kids, identification of the symptoms and DIY basic guides to eliminate it as they see the early signs
  • Although the cash for work activity has been initiated by WHO for the underprivileged segment of our society, WHO in joint venture  with the UNICEF should acquire a land in its  name and start the cultivation of the easily grown nutritional foods like Banana and Potatoes , hiring  local people to care for the fields at a  respectable wage ( instead of just transferring the cash in their name as it apparently does  )  and the food products after fulfilling the needs of the locals should be distributed in the supermarkets under the brand name of WHO  KAY POTATOE or WHO KAY AALOO.. To generate further revenue and awareness both for the malnutritional programme and the benefits of the organic farming.
  • WHO should construct an agreement with the leading nutritional brands of meat, milk and poultry and make them adopt a village or a locality make people have access to their food items under corporate social responsibility act.
  • It is very great that WFP has started the school feeding programme that feeds to 1.3 million kids in the school and they take the ration home as well, this should be increased on a mass level with the inclusion of the technical training so that kids can learn the skills at school in which they have a interest and earn there this will ensure a healthy future for them.

  • I have come across a very good practice adopted by International Humanity Foundation is that they make volunteers across the world virtually and in real they place advertisements for IHF and write for it in order  to create awareness and generate  potential funds, this practice could be adopted by WHO in the fight against malnutrition.

  • Pakistani Government should include in the legislation a progressive tax on the agriculture mafia’s and WHO can spread awareness of this issue as its affecting the health of women and children of Pakistan

  • WHO should liaise with the high ranking government officials to eliminate malnutrition and hunger and the government target should be matched with that of the WHO.

In the end I would like to request all the people who possess a caring heart. Please in this Ramadan take a certain portion out as Zakat, Sadqa, Donation to help the kids and women in Pakistan because every human being deserves the right to have nutritional food as they did not choose this but the fate chose them. Just think for a while and place yourself in this position . WHO is a bigger platform and have far reaching impacts as cited above, will contribute to the long term benefits of people to eliminate hunger/ malnutrition so this should clear a tinge of doubt you have to not to donate
A healthy Pakistan holds a better future – for us for the world.

Going to Port Grand ---- Really ?

Port Grand located on the Napier Mole Bridge is one of the leading and modern food streets cum entertainment arena of Pakistan. Traditional Gawalmandi food street, Lhr has been overshadowed by the sea facing competitor from Karachi. Due to the multifaceted nature of it, being beautifully designed and well kept environs

The entrance tickets are of 300 per person out of which 200 is redeemable at the food joints after strict security one is allowed into the PG premises and soon can get the stench of the polluted water of fish smell. There is also the option of jet skiing into the water and some zealous people are seen swashing the motor boat left and right like James bond.

Then there comes the huge hall and one can see the big branded shops over there that’s a welcome addition and adds to the revenue of the PG authority in the premises precise after enjoying a meal people can empty the pockets in these shops

On the left side is the port grand alley where all the eateries are located and there is a Palmist, a Parrot astrologer, Sketch maker and some traditional crafts stall and suddenly it seems that you are in Paris as the pathway is built of small pebbles and there is black board on which the menu is written by them the sittings are similar to that of European roadside. One thing that I fear the most in Pakistan when go out anywhere for roadside food is the fact that there are ample of stray and wild cats that particularly love to chase me and I do the public display of my  vocals  by shouting and fast track light speed jumps. Thank God these cats, dogs, and whatever are not present here in PG

There is a variety of café’s to choose from and there are stalls of the local road side food like BUN KEBAB, GOL GAPPAY, POP CORN, KACHORI, SAMOSAY,VARITIES OF TEA/Coffee available there that’s very great. Personally I feel the Gappa’s very saltish and the supposedly tamarind water due to the greenish color seems that they have taken it out from the same fish water of native jetty.  The self- proclaimed best Chinese restaurant of Karachi – Chairman Mao is there too and the sticky chicken is the best to try out. And yes being a foodie I’m craving for the bun kebab’s of PG very yummy and beats the likes of Mc Donald’s and KFC .Till now I couldn’t muster the courage to go to Oishi sushi ,a Japanese restaurant  to eat raw fish, yeah Sushi . I guess if egged then I have to keep a paper clip to clip my nose before having it just like in childhood, kids have milk. And yes how can I forget the desi, ghaffar kebab house, that has the succulent, juicy chicken tikka, reshmi kebabs with hot piping paratha’s and naan that were not heavy on the stomach though I hate the fact that the waiter was standing on our head eyeing with the corner, may be he wanted to enter into the Guinness book of world record for quick service. Plenty of drinks options were there on the street vendors to wash down the meal too.---- Care for a Narail Pani ( coconut water ) ?

One can see the huge ships in the water from that PG alley and there are lights there is a favorite photo spot for everybody that seems to go to PG. Everyone I see pose with smiling teeth, model pose, pout reminds me of the incident where one photographer placed the camera in the vicinity of the chimpanzees and they came up with great cameos. Mind blowing shots!  Whenever I see a picture on PG green benches my mind traces the ancestry well back to the ape mode of humans

However despite all these things I think that there needs to a variety of steps taken by PG authority and the Port and shipping ministry, Karachi. Like the biggest issue of the Port grand is the awful smell of the water as it is full of wrappers, dirt, and some plastic bags are floating in it that is just so disgusting and I don’t know why doesn’t the port authority clear the water and restrict people from the top of the bridge to stop things throwing in it. There is a Hindu temple near it and the Hindu community throws their dia’s in the water then people of the Shiaa community throw their TAZIA’s in it  and some people who out of superstition feed to the fishes and offer Nazr’s ( offering) that creates a lot of environmental pollution and there is nobody to restrict and stop them... The port and shipping should put heavy fines on the miscreants who do these things

As far as the water sport is concerned there needs to be adequate rescuers and the security gears to be provided by the PG management for the facilitation of the people to avoid any bad accident.

The thing that needs the most attention is the fact that although strict security checking is done on the entrance but from the bridge up above the full view of the PG is seen. At some places steel shuttering is done most of it is visible that pose dangerous threat to the security. Hence it’s important that there needs to be wire mesh planted with the walls of the flyover and security camera’s inserted on it to fulfill the purpose of the security. Or I guess if it’s affordable then the bullet proof glasses could be used instead of the steel shuttering though very expensive this would be very beautiful.

The PG has been much hyped and was labeled as the Asia’s biggest food street although I do admit that Port and shipping ministry has done a good job by turning the old flyover, resurrecting the historical bridge into a food street.  I think there is a lot to be done.

Relaxing and fun loving activities are vital to the physical and the mental build-up of the people and one can escape from the everyday tensions of the life via it. However it’s the responsibility of the management and the government to ensure that proper security steps are taken and the environmental life of the local fish in the water is to be protected via this grand project as PG is a landmark of Karachi, that generates a humongous revenue for the people and its their duty to ensure that value for money should be provided to the people

Ps :

The monkey grabs a camera !!!

Forgive my bad camera and here goes the link for the nice version pics for PG.. I tried to paste the URL in the image but couldn't
